Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

Our Cardiac Rehab Program provides complex medical care combined with cardiac education for the patient who is recovering from cardiac surgery, angioplasty, myocardial infarction or other cardiac disorders. We seek to have patients return to their optimal state of health through medical management, physical conditioning, education and psychological support.

Program Features:
	•	Physician-led, specialty rehabilitation team which may include rehabilitation nurses,physical therapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation aides, social workers, nutritionists, therapeutic recreation specialists and program managers.
	•	Fully equipped therapy gym with state-of-the-art equipment adjacent to the patient care unit.
	•	Daily individual and group therapy services led by licensed therapists. Daily group educational classes covering all aspects of cardiac care.
	•	Continuous telemetry monitoring available, with Board-certified Cardiologists managing telemetry care.

Our outpatient cardiac rehab programs help patients to improve their cardiovascular conditioning, adjust to their illness and modify their behavior to reduce the risk of further health problems. Outpatient programs are available through NSMC Heart and Wellness Center at (978) 741-4151.
