Our Oncology Rehab Program is a formalized program of care
that addresses the total needs of cancer patients and their
families. Members of the cancer rehabilitation team seek to
meet the patient's physical, psychological, spiritual, vocational
and educational needs.
The primary goal of the program is to help the patient return
to home, family, community and work as quickly as possible.
Program Features:

Physician-led, specialty rehabilitation
team which may include a consulting oncologist, rehabilitation
nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapsts, speech-language
pathologists, therapeutic recreation specialists, nutritionists,
social workers, psychologists and program managers.

Fully equipped therapy gym with state-of-the-art
equipment adjacent to patient care unit.
•
Individualized rehabilitation programs
which may coordinate ongoing radiation or chemotherapy
treatments at .
•
Focus on pain management and health maintenance
as well as improving physical function.
•
Extensive patient and family education
programs and support services.
Patient comfort is an important part of the recovery process.
All patient rooms are semiprivate and have bathroom facilities,
free televisions and telephones, private closet space and
large windows. Family members are always welcome and serve
an important role in the recovery process.
